Work Faster. Repeat Reliably.
The 880 Series delivers intuitive operation with features that streamline repeated use in gamma radiography workflows. Operators reposition, reconnect, and cycle through exposures dozens of times per shift, so every component is built for consistent, reliable performance. The radius jacket provides secure placement on pipe surfaces, while clearly marked controls and visual indicators guide operators through each step. Precision-machined components ensure smooth, repeatable operation, maximizing productivity in pipeline weld inspection, fabrication yards, and demanding field environments.
Minimize Operator Dose
QSA Global’s 880 Series gamma-ray source projectors feature a patented guide tube interlock that ensures the tungsten shutter blocks the source channel any time the source is not in use. The shutter cannot open unless the guide tube is securely connected, shielding operators from radiation during source deployment and retrieval. This reduces operator dose and supports compliance with ANSI N432-1980 and ISO 3999 standards for global NDT operations.
Keep Sources Secure
The 880 Series is engineered to protect both the source and operator at every stage of the exposure cycle through robust mechanical safeguards. The lock slide mechanism prevents unauthorized source movement and automatically secures the source when retracted, while safety interlocks ensure the shutter cannot open unless the guide tube is properly connected. This prevents misconnections that could compromise source control. The remote controls interface enables safe source projection and retrieval without direct handling. This layered mechanical safeguard system supports strict compliance with industrial radiography safety standards, giving operators confidence to perform each exposure safely and reliably.
Experience Extreme Durability
QSA Global's gamma-ray source projectors are built to perform in the world's toughest environments, where equipment failure is not an option. With over 12,000 units in service worldwide, they have proven reliable from Alaska's North Slope to Middle East deserts. Precision-machined components and corrosion-resistant materials maintain integrity through repeated use in extreme temperatures and corrosive atmospheres. Whether deployed on offshore platforms, remote pipelines, or high-volume fabrication yards, QSA Global gamma cameras deliver consistent performance that keeps radiographic inspections on schedule in the most demanding field conditions.

"For the last 10 years, we are using only sentinel [QSA Global 880 Series] equipment. In these 10 years, we did not face any source stuck case and [are] thankful for this. The 880 is easy to operate even for new technicians [and] the reliability and low maintenance cost has helped us achieve our goals. "

-
"We have been in the radiography industry for more than 10 years. Throughout all these years we have used multiple products from different companies. However, SENTINEL 880 Series is the BEST ever. Well manufactured tools and devices with high quality and good reliability. "

-
"QSA Global provides simple and clear manuals and introduces any new equipment to the users through theoretical & practical sessions either directly or via the distributor. [Our favorite feature of the 880 Series is] the locking mechanism, because it's simple & very safe. "
