880 Series Omega Gamma-Ray Source Projector.
The 880 Series Omega gamma-ray source projector is designed for non-destructive testing (NDT) environments where lower-activity sources are required to meet strict regulatory or dose limitations. Designed to house Ir-192 sealed source assemblies up to 15 Ci (0.55 TBq), the Omega can also be loaded with Se-75 or Yb-169 sources, offering flexibility for field radiography in settings with constrained licensing or exposure requirements.
As the lowest-capacity gamma camera in the 880 Series, the Omega is often selected for offshore applications and inspection sites where reduced radiation output is essential for safety or compliance.
QSA Global designed the 880 Series Omega to comply with ANSI N432-1980, ISO 3999:2004(E), IAEA TS-R-1 (2009), IAEA SSR-6 (2012), USNRC 10CFR34 and 10CFR71, and USDOT 49CFR173, ensuring safe, compliant operation across global NDT job sites.
