# OpenVision DX Real-Time Radiography X-Ray System.

## Screen 60x more piping for CUI

OpenVision DX is an easy-to-use, handheld real-time radiography (RTR) X-ray system used for qualitative CUI screening on insulated piping. Radiographers capture real-time video and still images of CUI indicators such as pitting, scaling, wall loss, and wet insulation without stripping insulation or disrupting revenue-generating production. 

OpenVision DX’s low-energy 70 kV X-ray source, with highly collimated output and internal shielding, minimizes radiation exposure and confines the radiation footprint to just a few feet (about 1 meter). Radiographers can inspect insulation and cladding combinations up to 36 inches (91 cm) in diameter, including mineral wool, calcium silicate, and galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Inspection teams also use OpenVision DX for heat tracer inspection and weld location mapping when CUI screening is part of a broader inspection scope.

OpenVision DX is ANSI/HPS N43.5 (2005), ISTA 3A, MIL-STD-810 Method 514 Annex C Cat 4, REACH/ROHS, and CE compliant. FDA Accession #: 1680071-000.

  With OpenVision HD, you can view external defects as small as 0.010-inch (250 micron) on insulated piping.
- How fast can I screen a standard section of insulated piping with OpenVision DX?
  
  Radiographers screen insulated piping at a rate of 30 seconds per foot (0.30 m) using OpenVision DX. Actual screening speed depends on the radiographer, piping configuration, and number of CUI indicators found during inspection.
  
  When radiographers detect CUI indicators on the real-time video, they capture still and targeting images for follow-up.. Overall, radiographers complete CUI screening up to 60 times faster using OpenVision DX than with traditional screening methods.
- What safety features are built into OpenVision DX to protect operators and nearby workers?
  
  OpenVision DX utilizes a highly collimated X-ray beam to direct X-rays toward the object being screened and away from the operator.
  
  Warning lights, a warning screen, and an audible ensure the operator is aware before X-rays are generated and during operation. 
- How long does it take to set up and break down OpenVision DX on a job site?
  
  You can set up and start using OpenVision DX within 1-2 minutes. In most cases, no exclusion zone is required to operate OpenVision DX, so breakdown takes seconds. If a country's regulation requires an exclusion zone, it's so small that breakdown is still very quick.
